Welcome to Smokey Mo’s Round Rock IH35! We’re located in the Renaissance Shopping Center just north of Gattis School Road. We smoke all of our meats in house daily, and serve ‘em up in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Hadn't been and wanted good BBQ, so looked for a place close and ended up here based on reviews. Fast service and patience given to a novice orderer. Ordered a one meat plate and a two meat plate. Brisket was good, but sliced too thin for my liking, I like a little chew of the moist meat personally, as sliced would have been good for a dip sandwich. Not crazy fat capped, minimal smoke ring though (see picture). The other meat was pork ribs and DAMN! they were moist, fall off the bone, flavorful, and smoky delicious - done right. Sides were decent - the pinto beans on point and potatoe salad was good . BBQ sauce the right balance of tang and spice - a compliment to the meats. And finally the sweet tea wasn't all brown sugar water, so extra points there. Bill was $48 for two meals, drinks, and tip at 10%. Would do this place again - not the best of Texas (not from here), but worth a visit.
Though I had tasted brisket and pork belly before, this was nothing short of a revelation — as though I were experiencing them for the very first time. Having dined at countless fine establishments, I have rarely encountered something so impeccably balanced; incredibly juicy, yet neither overly salty nor cloying, seasoned with such quiet precision that every single bite felt utterly complete. This, without question, was in a league of its own
Do not judge this place by the shopping center appearance. I was hesitant to commit to eating here. I didn't smell smoke until I got to the door. We got a tray, sausage, turkey and a half of pound of pork ribs. Sausage 4 stars Turkey 5 stars Ribs 5 stars+ sooo good. Mac is meh Overall 5 stars.
Franco provides exceptional customer service catered to a client who’s in need of rapid service and who is with an appetite. Franco greets every customer that enters the restaurant, offers a hospitable correspondence with a splendid character and a desire to meet your requests. Franco is someone who’s attentive to detail, and provides a sense of care for the customer. I’ve enjoyed my service at this restaurant and will continue to spend my money here as the food quality is superb and the service is rapid. Well job from Franco. That man keeps good customers coming back but also bringing good business because he won mine. I hope he’s compensated even more for his exceptional effort. Impressive.
