It might be the middle of December, but at Smokey Mo’s, we’re keeping the fire burning bright this winter with the opening of our newest location in Bastrop. Located in the Burleson Crossing Shopping Center at 773 Highway 71 W, Smokey Mo’s Bastrop officially opened its doors, marking our 22nd location in Texas.
As we close out our 25th anniversary year, this opening is a representation of how consistent and scalable our model is across markets—and how every neighborhood in Texas deserves the best BBQ. We’ve been expanding across the Austin, San Antonio, and Houston areas, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.
A Grand Opening Worth Celebrating
To celebrate the opening, Smokey Mo’s Bastrop hosted a community event on December 5 featuring exclusive food and drink specials, live entertainment, and family-friendly fun. Guests enjoyed $5 Sloppy Mo sandwiches, $2 beers, and $1 fountain drinks or tea, along with a spin-the-wheel prize giveaway, face painting, stickers, and a live outdoor radio broadcast.
True to our neighborhood roots, Smokey Mo’s also used the event to give back, donating a portion of all sales to the Bastrop High Band Boosters, reinforcing our ongoing mission to support local schools and organizations in every community it serves. We’re proud of our strong neighborhood ties, and the enthusiasm at the Smokey Mo’s Bastrop grand opening shows that the communities we serve are just as proud to have us there.
